A Dirndl whose embroidery alone takes a month does not come into being twice in the same form.

On 9 July 2024 the autumn collection was presented in glorious weather before more than three hundred guests in the Gwandhaus park. Under the sign of the hunt, the Couture Dirndl No. 4 also came into being. It joins fine handwork with extraordinary natural fabrics. The fur of the Swiss red fox plays a particular part in this; its natural markings give each model its own character.
What
Moss green meets red-brown, earthy greys meet silver grey. Fine Tuchloden, pure silk and red fox fur determine the interplay. The double-hemmed bodice emphasises the figure like a Mieder (bodice), while double Paspel (piping) frames the neckline and sleeves. On the back, hand-embroidered decorative pins set particular accents. Their arrangement follows the Hexenstich, the witch's stitch.
What for
A blouse with radiating pin embroidery belongs to this Dirndl. The circle skirt, likewise embroidered by hand, unfolds its fullness to a hem circumference of five metres. Then there is the stole of red fox fur, which completes the Gwand with its natural abundance. An interplay for festive evenings that reveals new details from every perspective.
Why
The embroidering of the decorative pins alone takes around a month. Each one is set by hand. The eye travels between the fine embroidery and the lively markings of the red fox fur, always discovering something new. So much time and mastery make the Couture Dirndl No. 4 a particular collector's model – to wear, to keep and to pass on.
The colours of nature set the tone here. Rich in facets and in all their nuances. Moss green bows before red-brown, earthy greys flirt with silver grey.
Opulent, graceful and yet close to nature, the Gössl Couture Dirndl shows the true treasures of nature — refined with craftsmanship that has few equals.
Wonderful natural fabrics such as fine Loden, silk, cotton and the fur of the red fox give this jewel of Tracht its grace. The Dirndl bodice, hemmed with double cord quilting, conjures up the figure-emphasising character of a Mieder (bodice).
The artful double Paspel (piping) at the neckline and sleeves provides quiet understatement. Decorative pins embroidered by hand on the back, modelled on the classic Hexenstich, bring the lover of Tracht good fortune.

Embroidering the decorative pins by hand takes around a month. And yet the eye is torn between the wonderful fur of the red fox and the artful handwork.
Unmoved by this, the stole takes its place and tries to put all the others in the shade. It does not quite succeed — yet it undoubtedly helps the overall composition of the Couture Dirndl to unfold in its singular beauty.
The fur of the red fox, known scientifically as Vulpes vulpes, is famed for its versatility and beauty. This species of fox is found in various regions of the world.
The colour of the fur varies according to the habitat in which it lives. In temperate regions the palette ranges from reddish-brown to a vivid orange tone, while foxes in arctic regions often have a lighter, silvery coat that camouflages them better.
Gössl uses only the fur of the Swiss red fox. Owing to its habitat, preferably in cold regions, it is considerably denser and fuller than that of the common fox.
On 9 July the autumn collection 2024 was presented. The event took place in the picturesque Gwandhaus park, where the guests enjoyed a champagne reception in the new open-air bar in radiant weather and summer temperatures.
The autumn collection stands entirely under the sign of the hunt. The Gössl Couture Dirndl No. 4, shown for the first time before more than 300 guests at the Gwandhaus, also reflects this theme.
Presented by the enchanting academic game manager Christine Fischer, the new Couture Dirndl shone in colours inspired by nature and held all those present in its spell.
