Skirt in jacquard, bodice in linen
Two natural fabrics in one Dirndl: the skirt in a finely structured cotton jacquard, the bodice in pure linen. The neckline is cut in its own way and framed by selected buttons. In this way the Dirndl remains quiet and yet has a line that is recognised.
The jacquard technique goes back to the French weaver Joseph-Marie Jacquard, who, twenty years after the mechanical loom of 1785, was able to raise and lower the warp threads individually for each weft thread. With it, Gössl has the handed-down patterns of Tracht woven at a local weaving mill.
