Since antiquity, the oak leaf has been regarded as a sign of solidity and reliability. The traditional embroideries are a classic motif of Tracht. They transfer these qualities symbolically from the Gwand to the one who loves it.
Piped buttonholes
Piped buttonholes are a particularly fine form of construction, in which the buttonhole is precisely bound with narrow strips of fabric. They are considered a mark of high tailoring craft, as they are worked by hand with great care and give the Gwand an elegant, quiet and long-lasting finish.
