Corduroy
is a robust cotton fabric with characteristic, velvety lengthwise ribs. This structure gives it not only a distinctive appearance, but also particular durability and a pleasant feel. Piped buttonholes
Piped buttonholes, bound precisely with narrow strips of fabric in the manner of a Paspel (piping), are a particularly fine form of workmanship. They are regarded as a mark of high tailoring, as they are worked by hand with great care and give the Gwand an elegant, quiet and long-lasting finish.
