This Hanferne shows itself in a classic cut with a unique play of colour. Once finished, the trousers were patinated as a whole, so that edges and seams, and above all the rich relief embroidery, stand out clearly and give the trousers their unmistakable appearance. Lederhosen buttons of genuine horn adorn the front flap and the leg.
The hemp
Hemp is the first plant cultivated by man and is found in almost all parts of the world. The hemp fibre, which is obtained from dried hemp straw through various working steps, looks back on a tradition in textile making that is thousands of years old. Somewhat forgotten in recent decades, Gössl values its characteristic properties and makes it the basic fabric of its ideas. Hemp is light and supple, yet dimensionally stable and hardly creases.
