The jacket in natural hemp was dyed as a whole garment, giving it its wonderful patina, which emerges especially impressively along the seams. Discreet cord quilting runs along the collar, and on the button placket genuine horn Lederhosen buttons stand in a row.
The hemp
Hemp is the first plant cultivated by people and is found in almost every part of the world. The hemp fibre, obtained from dried hemp straw through various steps of work, looks back on a tradition in textile making that is thousands of years old. Somewhat forgotten in recent decades, its characteristic properties are valued by Gössl, which makes it the base fabric of its ideas. Hemp is light and supple, yet holds its shape and hardly creases.
