The Jägerleinen

Over the centuries, linen enjoyed a particular reputation as clothing. Because of its resilience, the fabric long stood in high regard among the rural population. From the beginning of the 1920s, however, it also found its way into bourgeois society. Not without reason: at that time, the summer retreat was especially popular in better circles. People left the hot city centres and betook themselves to the soothing freshness of nature in the countryside. Naturally, man and woman had to be suitably dressed for it. Jägerleinen is a robust blend of linen and cotton with unmistakable virtues: it is light and comfortable, airy and yet compact. Gössl gives its Jägerleinen a warm medium green tone that recalls a shady meadow on a hot summer's day.

Millefleur

Millefleur – from the French for "a thousand flowers" – denotes a fine, densely scattered floral pattern with many small blossoms. The term originally comes from the world of textiles and art and lends fabrics a romantic, playful and at the same time elegant effect. On Dirndls, aprons or fine cotton fabrics in particular, the Millefleur pattern unfolds its traditional and timeless character.
