Anna-Plochl satin
the cotton is woven in a particular way, so that the fabric acquires lightly breathable and moisture-regulating properties. Its luxuriously shimmering surface is wonderfully soft and smooth. The fabric is surrounded by an aura of restrained elegance and a love of the exclusive.
The mother-of-pearl
Mother-of-pearl is a natural solid substance found in mussel shells. Depending on the incidence of light, its surface shimmers like opal. With their lustre, mother-of-pearl buttons give every model that certain something. The facet cut lends the mother-of-pearl lustre additional fire - just as one knows it from sparkling gemstones.
The Hexenstich
The hand-set Hexenstich (witch's stitch) is Gössl's homage to craftsmanship in the old tradition. It marks the true worth of the Gwand. According to folk belief, the name derives from a witch's oath to the devil, in which she is said to raise her left hand. Since cross stitch is embroidered from left to right, the thread has to be drawn smooth towards the left, which brings about the characteristic movement of the hand.
