This fresh, spirited Dirndl blouse is made of fine cotton batiste and, thanks to its elasticity, is exceedingly pleasant to wear. The front is adorned with a delicate daisy embroidery, and on the back the Gössl symbol, the Hexenstich, is worked by hand. Ruffles trim the sleeves and the neckline.
Cotton batiste
is a particularly fine, slightly transparent cotton fabric with a smooth, delicate surface. It is distinguished by its low weight and its pleasantly cool feel on the skin. At the same time it appears elegant and filigree – ideal for airy, high-quality Gwand with a fine, natural character.
The Hexenstich
The hand-set Hexenstich is Gössl's homage to craftsmanship in the old tradition. It marks the true worth of the Gwand. According to popular belief, the name derives from the oath of a witch to the devil, for which she is said to raise her left hand. Since cross stitch is embroidered from left to right, the thread has to be drawn smooth towards the left, which brings about the characteristic movement of the hand.
