The tie in pure linen is shown in a slim silhouette. Each model was dyed in the traditional Blaudruck bath. Linen fabric and colour interact to create a uniquely intense colour experience.
Blaudruck – intense and expressive
The Blaudruck, the traditional indigo resist printing, has a long tradition in Austria. It is a true craft that was perfected early on and has been preserved over centuries. Through its strong colour and its contrasting effect, traditional Blaudruck immediately shows a fascinating presence. The many details that make up genuine Blaudruck arise first of all from the demanding production process. For what is printed is precisely what will not be dyed later. Traditional motifs are printed on in precise handwork with pure acacia resin. The natural drying process that follows takes up to ten weeks. Only once it is certain that the resin can completely withstand the colour is the fabric dipped into the dye bath. Gössl takes up this heritage of textile refinement humbly, yet does not shy away from adding further chapters to this success story and from enriching traditional fabrics and refining techniques with new variations. Combined with new colours, Gössl shows Blaudruck as the versatile all-rounder of Tracht.
