The Joppe in fine Loden shows the traditional cut. Small lapel adorned with Rehrosen, the rosettes from roe deer antlers. Refined in detail with embroidery and geometric patterns. Hand-stitched Schneiderfliege (tailor's fly) and Dragoner at the back.
Loden
In earlier times the farm women and maids spun the wool into firm threads in winter. The weaver made cloth from it, before the magical Walk process began. To this day, original Loden cloth is made from wool in the traditional hammer fulling mill through the action of moisture, soap, warmth and friction. Length by length, a wondrous cloth comes into being whose versatile properties have always fascinated and inspired Gössl. It keeps out wind and weather, is breathable and pleasant against the skin. In Tracht, structure and colour are today a mark of quality and lasting value.
The Schneiderfliege
The Schneiderfliege is a trick truly rich in tradition. It has always been used to stabilise vents and the points where seams meet, and to decorate them at the same time. At Gössl it is worked in the traditional way, genuinely by hand.
The Dragoner
In Tracht, the term "Dragoner" refers first of all to a back strap (bar) on traditional jackets or coats, as found for instance on the Salzburger Anzug. This classic detail of fine men's models traditionally serves to regulate the width and is at the same time a distinctive sign of fine workmanship. Historically the term goes back to the dragoons – mounted infantry units whose appearance still echoes today in uniform and in the keeping of tradition.

Piped buttonholes
Piped buttonholes are particularly finely bound buttonholes in which narrow strips of fabric neatly enclose the edges. This traditional tailoring technique provides stability and an elegant, precise appearance.
