The loose Loden cape can be drawn in at the waist with the belt. The front edge and the collar are trimmed with red fox. The red fox comes from local hunting. Hunting in the Alpine region has an important task: to preserve the natural balance of flora and fauna and to support ecosystems.
Loden
In times past, the farmers' wives and maids spun the wool into firm threads in winter. The weaver made cloth from it, before the magical fulling process began. To this day, original Loden cloth is made from wool in the traditional hammer fulling mill through the action of moisture, soap, warmth and friction. Length by length, a wondrous cloth comes into being whose versatile qualities have always fascinated and inspired Gössl. It repels wind and weather, is breathable and pleasant against the skin. Structure and colour are today a mark of quality and lasting value in Tracht.
