Stutzen, the traditional calf warmers, in virgin wool and cotton with a relief pattern and cross honeycomb. Non-slip thanks to the knitted-in elastic. The knitted-in calf section sits precisely against the calf. The circular knitting technique developed by Gössl integrates the calf section without additional seams. The turn-over makes the Stutzen slightly variable, adapting to the calf. The Stutzen is worn 2 to 3 cm below the hollow of the knee.
The merino wool
The wool of merino sheep is a particular form of virgin wool. Its fibres are fine and pliable, they do not scratch and yet they warm. Merino wool is breathable and temperature-balancing – this makes the Stutzen pleasant to wear.
