Blaudruck – intense and expressive

Blaudruck has a long tradition in Austria. It is a true craft, perfected early on and preserved over centuries. With its strong colour and its contrast, traditional Blaudruck has an immediate, fascinating presence. The many details that make up genuine Blaudruck arise above all from the demanding production process. For what is printed is precisely what will not be dyed later. Traditional motifs are printed on in precise handwork with pure acacia resin. The natural drying process that follows takes up to ten weeks. Only when it is certain that the resin can completely withstand the dye is the fabric immersed in the dye bath. Gössl takes up this heritage of textile refinement humbly, yet does not shy away from adding further chapters to this success story and enriching traditional fabrics and refinement techniques with new variations. Combined with new colours, Gössl shows Blaudruck as the versatile all-rounder of Tracht.

The tie belt

The tie belt serves as an alternative to the apron with the Dirndl, or as an additional adornment over an apron. It also combines wonderfully with dresses and blouses. Thanks to its flexible lacing it can be adjusted perfectly and charmingly emphasises the waist.
