Wiener Werkstätten
The Wiener Werkstätte was a community of important artists and designers founded in 1903 around Josef Hoffmann, Koloman Moser and Fritz Waerndorfer. Inspired by the British Arts and Crafts Movement, it pursued the aim of bringing art, craft and everyday life together and of giving the applied arts new expressive power.
With its artful designs, the Wiener Werkstätte shaped furniture, fabrics, jewellery and everyday objects of exceptional aesthetic and craftsmanship.
