For the shirtjacket with a turn-down collar, Gössl shows a particularly light version of the Jägerleinen. Emphatically relaxed, it slips comfortably over a shirt or Pfoad, the traditional shirt, as an alternative to a jacket. Side slit pockets and genuine horn buttons round off this uncomplicated companion.
The Jägerleinen
For centuries, linen enjoyed a special reputation as clothing. Because of its durability, the fabric was long held in high regard among the rural population. From the beginning of the 1920s, however, it also found its way into bourgeois society. Not without reason: at that time, the summer retreat was particularly popular in better circles. People left the hot city centres and betook themselves to the soothing freshness of nature in the countryside. Naturally, men and women had to be suitably dressed for it. Jägerleinen is a robust blend of linen and cotton with unmistakable advantages: it is light and comfortable, airy and yet compact. Gössl gives its Jägerleinen a warm medium green tone reminiscent of a shady meadow on a hot summer's day.
