This blouse in cotton with a flower-rich print comes in a classic cut with a shirt-blouse collar. The back is adorned with a Hexenstich. Fine mother-of-pearl buttons with a colour-matched Lampasse edge complete the blouse.
Millefleur
Millefleur – from the French for "a thousand flowers" – denotes a fine, densely scattered floral pattern with many small blossoms. The term originally comes from the world of textiles and art and lends fabrics a romantic, playful and at the same time elegant effect. On Dirndls, aprons or fine cotton fabrics in particular, the Millefleur pattern unfolds its traditional and timeless character.
The Hexenstich
The hand-set Hexenstich is Gössl's homage to craftsmanship in the old tradition. It marks the true worth of the Gwand. According to folk belief, the name derives from a witch's oath to the devil, in the course of which she is said to raise her left hand. Since cross stitch is worked from left to right, the thread has to be pulled smooth to the left, which brings about the characteristic movement of the hand.
