Mother-of-pearl is a natural solid substance found in mussel shells. Depending on the incidence of light, its surface shimmers like opal. With their sheen, mother-of-pearl buttons give every model that certain something. The facet cut lends the mother-of-pearl sheen additional fire - just as one knows it from sparkling gemstones.
