The cross stitch
As a carrier of culture, the cross stitch has a long tradition. Centuries ago it already served the ladies of better society as an artful pastime. The earliest surviving examples are more than 500 years old. The significance of the embroidery art of earlier days can therefore hardly be estimated highly enough. Gössl takes up this cultural treasure in its motifs.
The mother-of-pearl
Mother-of-pearl is a natural solid substance found in mussel shells. Depending on how the light falls, its surface shimmers like opal. With their lustre, mother-of-pearl buttons give every model that certain something. The facet cut gives the mother-of-pearl lustre additional fire - just as one knows it from sparkling gemstones.
