Cardigan with Salzburger Model

the cardigan is knitted from pure cashmere yarn, multi-stranded, in purl/purl. Salzburger Modeln on the sleeves and back give the jacket a characteristically traditional origin. Pockets and collar in contrast. The edges are finished with fine decorative hand stitching and round off the jacket. The silhouette of the jacket is suited to the Dirndl, but knitted somewhat longer so that it also works with trousers.

Purl/purl knit

Purl-purl knit is a traditional way of knitting in which only purl stitches are worked. This creates an even, lightly textured surface with a soft hand. The technique gives the knitted garment particular elasticity, stability of shape and a quiet, hand-crafted appearance.

Salzburger Model

The Salzburger Model is a particular cable pattern that has come down to us through the pattern treasury of the Landschaftsmuseum Schloss Trautenfels in the Ennstal/Styria. Gössl gladly takes up these cultural treasures again and again, in order to preserve and carry forward the long lines of the techniques used to refine clothing.
