Bow on the left – it brings luck

When a woman wears the bow on the left side, she shows that she is not yet taken. Small, tasteful flirtations are therefore permitted.

Bow on the right – take care now

If a woman appears with the apron tied on the right, it means unmistakably that her heart already belongs to another. It also serves as protection against persistent suitors.

Bow in the middle

This is the traditional sign that the wearer is still a virgin. Those who are undecided also like to tie the bow here.
