Genuine blue-print Pfoad

The classic Pfoad appears in the intense colouring of genuine blue print. Vertical pintucks to the left and right of the button placket have been richly embroidered over in fine cross stitch. Mother-of-pearl buttons set tone on tone complete the Pfoad.

Blue print – intense and expressive

Blue print has a long tradition in Austria. It is a true craft that was perfected early on and has been preserved over centuries. With its strong colour and its contrast, traditional blue print immediately shows a fascinating presence. The many details that make up genuine blue print arise above all from the demanding production process. For what is printed is precisely what will later not be dyed. Traditional motifs are printed on in precise handwork with pure acacia resin. The natural drying process that follows takes up to ten weeks. Only once it is certain that the resin can withstand the dye completely is the fabric dipped into the dye bath. Gössl takes up this heritage of textile refinement humbly, yet does not shy away from adding further chapters to this success story and enriching traditional fabrics and refinement techniques with new variations. Combined with new colours, Gössl shows blue print as the versatile all-rounder of Tracht.
