The blouse in delicate linen with a shirt collar shows a drawn-thread hem combined with rich embroidery in satin stitch and cross stitch, modelled on embroidery sampler bands. These testimonies of artful textile work served the masters of former times as a certificate of their skill. The concealed button placket is edged with genuine mother-of-pearl buttons. A herringbone stitch adorns the back.
