Wrap blouse

This loose cotton blouse with a stand collar carries the much-loved Gösslstreif and is cleverly fastened with ties at the side. The embroidered Gössl-Gamserl above the bust and the Hexenstich at the back complete the wrap blouse.

The Schwesternstreif

As early as the 1970s, Gössl took up the originally simple work shirt. What had proven its worth over time was to be preserved and carefully developed further. In this way the Pfoad, the traditional shirt, in the much-loved "Schwesternstreif" became an iconic classic.

The Hexenstich

The hand-set Hexenstich (witch stitch) is Gössl's homage to craftsmanship in the old tradition. It marks the true worth of the Gwand. According to folk belief, the name derives from the oath a witch swears to the devil, raising her left hand as she does so. Since the cross stitch is worked from left to right, the thread has to be drawn smooth to the left, which brings about the characteristic movement of the hand.

Gams

The Gams (chamois) is an icon among alpine wild animals. Proud and bold at once, it is the conqueror of the high mountains. Gössl shows its silhouette as a sign of the bond between people and nature. By now the Gössl-Gams has itself become a defining feature: it stands for Gössl's claim to style and quality in outstanding clothing culture.
