The shirt in cotton jersey has been drawn in a summery, loose silhouette. The round neckline is finely bound in linen and embroidered in true handwork with a Hexenstich. Faceted mother-of-pearl buttons sparkle on the button placket.
Jersey
Jersey is a soft, elastic fabric with a fine loop structure that nestles particularly pleasantly against the body. Its natural stretch offers high wearing comfort and a great deal of freedom of movement.
The Hexenstich
The hand-set Hexenstich (witch stitch) is Gössl's homage to craftsmanship in the old tradition. It marks the true value of the Gwand. According to popular belief, the name derives from a witch's oath to the devil, in which she is said to raise her left hand. As the cross stitch is embroidered from left to right, the thread has to be drawn smooth to the left, which brings about the characteristic movement of the hand.
The mother-of-pearl
Mother-of-pearl is a natural solid substance found in mussel shells. Depending on how the light falls, its surface shimmers like opal. With their lustre, mother-of-pearl buttons give every model that certain something.
